VIRTEK awarded $1.3 million contract by world-leading aircraft manufacturer

WATERLOO, ON, June 9, 2008 - Virtek Vision International Inc (TSX: VRK), a leading developer and provider of high value industrial laser solutions, today announced that the Company has been awarded a $1.3 million contract to supply LaserEdge® templating systems to a large U.S. aircraft manufacturer. Virtek's aerospace products are used in the manufacture of carbon graphite fibre parts for aircraft. These parts replace metal ones, resulting in lighter, more fuel efficient aircraft. Other applications for the advanced technology include paint templating, wire harness and aircraft assembly.
